I'd say the most unique part of our day working at Northside in PACU is that you never really know what you're going to get or what's going to happen. It always keeps you on your toes. It really sharpens in your critical thinking skills having to constantly like be quick on your feet and care for the patients that come out of the operating room 'cause you truly don't ever know like how someone's gonna do or what interventions you're gonna need to give them. Yeah, and just piggybacking off of that, like every area has their type of surgeries that they normally do. Like on third floor, we do a lot of women's surgeries, but still, you never know if there's a complication during the procedure that it's gonna be a longer recovery time or what you're gonna have to do or if somebody starts crashing, so really, it just keeps you on your toes, like every day's different, even though you are getting the same cases, no day is truly the same. Right.

One of my favorite things about working for Northside is their big presence in the local community. I love that it's so easy to get involved and volunteer, whether you're collecting canned goods for a different drive, or diapers, or you know, beautifying a garden, or running or biking for different causes, it's really easy, even throughout COVID, to get connected and help your community.
