What I would recommend to a candidate that is excited to apply and interview with Northside. One of the major things that I would recommend is to do your research. Go on our website, see who we are, and also study the unit that you are applying for or units that you are applying for. Also, understand that many of our interviews right now are being conducted virtually, so that means you may have to interview from your car, you may have to interview from a break room, or just find a quiet place where you can interview. That does not mean that you can come unprepared, so definitely prepare for the interview as you would an in-person interview, just answer the questions to the best of your ability. We are seeking the best candidates for the positions, and I know that if you've done your research, that you would really, really, really qualify and be a contender for the role that you are applying for. So do your research and find a quiet place where you can interview.

Scheduling, we use Schedule360, so you can go in online and choose the days that you want to work for the four weeks at a time. They'd like us to work two Mondays, two Fridays, and two Saturdays. The way our unit works is we are closed by midday. Usually, on Saturdays, it's discharges only. So then we're closed every Sunday, and then we roll in on Mondays, once surgeries start finishing. So you could be in at 7:00, 9:00, or 11:00, depending on which shift you pick for that Monday. So it's kind of like a half day and a half day that week, plus two other 12-hour shifts. You can also request time off, use PTO, and then most holidays we're closed, which is also really nice. And then doing the two Mondays, two Fridays, and two Saturdays, it just makes it fair for everybody that way as well.
