Job Details
Position Description
Operates ultrasound scanning equipment to produce records of designated portions of the human anatomy of adult and geriatric patients.
Position Requirements
REQUIRED:
- Certified or eligible for certification by:
- American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) OR American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Sonography (ARRT) (S). OR Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- All sonographers must obtain certification within twenty-four months of eligibility or cross training.)
- Certified in Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or obtain within 90 days of employment
- Sonographers must be in compliance with ARDMS, ARDMS, ARRT or CCI requirments for continuing education appropriate to their practice
PREFERRED:
- Graduate from an accredited school of Ultrasound Technology
- Prior experience in ultrasound
- Registered Cardiovascular Technologist with two (2) years cardiac related experience
- Registered Vascular Technologist with two (2) years vascular related experience
