1. Nutrition Services Host/Hostess
This role is ideal for someone who has prior experience working in a restaurant or other food service role, but is ready for a change and looking to step into the hospital environment. The responsibilities of this role include reading patient menus to patients, editing patient selections to meet restrictions associated with diet orders, and communicating between the nursing units and the Food & Nutrition Department.
2. Senior Server Engineer
This position is for experienced IT professionals that have a thorough background in server building, maintenance, and automation. Their job is vital to ensuring our computer systems stay online and are secure so our staff can access the information they need 24/7.
3. Revenue Integrity Supervisor
The Revenue Integrity Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the hospital Chargemaster is up-to-date and compliant with federal and state regulations and that our staff are charging for services correctly. This role is crucial to our operations because an accurate Chargemaster allows us to work with health insurance companies to make sure our patients are getting the most out of their healthcare experience.
4. Senior Applications Analyst
This role supports the crucial computer programs that help our clinical and financial staff carry out their jobs. With programs that deal with patient records, insurance billing, and more – the Senior Applications Analyst needs to be a pro at various computer systems in the healthcare environment to make sure we never miss a beat.
5. Oncology Clinical Social Worker
Social work is an incredibly important, yet often overlooked function within the healthcare environment. Healthcare social workers work with patients, their families, and significant others to break down psychosocial barriers that may inhibit their medical treatment. This role requires an advanced degree in social work or mental health, as well as prior experience in the mental health field.
6. Environmental Services Tech
The Environmental Services Team is the lifeblood of the Northside Hospital family! These truly essential employees ensure that our patients, as well as fellow employees, have a clean and safe environment. With on-the-job training and no prior experience or certification requirements, this role is the perfect entry point for someone interested in working in the healthcare field.
7. Foreign Language Medical Interpreter
¿Hablas español? This role is responsible for providing face-to-face interpreting services for Spanish-speaking patients and their families as it relates to their medical care, as well as documenting translation to enhance patients’ comprehension of medical procedures, treatment, follow-up care, and more.
8. Supply Chain Tech
This position is the Amazon Prime of Northside! Responsible for distributing supplies and equipment to our departments and keeping track of inventory levels, supply chain techs work to make sure the staff at Northside always have the right supplies & equipment at the right time to be able to deliver a great patient experience.
9. Monitor Tech
Monitor technicians support other clinical staff by observing patients’ biomedical electronic devices and watching for regular or irregular measurements to report back to nurses and doctors. This position requires the completion of a Basic Arrhythmia Course or the satisfactory completion of an arrhythmia competency exam with a score of 85% or higher.
10. Instrument Tech
This role is responsible for disinfecting, sterilizing, and assembling surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment in preparation for surgery teams. By prepping these materials ahead of time, this position helps keep surgical procedures safe and running smoothly for surgeons and their teams.
