If you’re not yet part of the Northside Family, you might wonder what it really means. At work, it means collaboration, support and coming together to deal with a job that can be highly demanding. It means being able to count on each other when things get tough, and knowing that you are a valued member of a team that is wholly dedicated to caring for others.
There is, however, much more to it, because the Northside Family’s commitment to caring extends far beyond the walls of our health care centers. Northsiders are shining stars in our communities, working together to help others in the same way they do on the job every day. September was another example of a month filled with events aimed at helping people in North Georgia and around the state.
We were a proud Presenting Sponsor of the Reinhardt University 5K for a Day event, which directly benefitted Cherokee County students.
We had a great time on Sept. 23 when we presented the Fan Fit Festival at Turner Field through our ongoing partnership with the Atlanta Braves. Northsiders helped showcase the fun and easy ways for people to keep themselves healthier.
On Sept. 24, we had an excellent turnout for the Team Maggie For A Cure 5K/10K, which raised money for teens and young adults who are battling cancer and seeking fertility preservation.
That same day, we had a fabulous showing at Wine, Women and Shoes. This amazing event at the Grand Hyatt-Buckhead gave guests a chance to sip wine and enjoy a shoe fashion show, all while raising money for the Leukemia and Women’s Cancer Programs at Northside.
Northsiders work hard every day, but they also step up whenever and wherever they’re needed in their communities. Participating in events that bring healing and hope to others is another hallmark of what it means to be part of the Northside Family.
