Every year, AJCJobs recognizes 10 nurses for their compassion and dedication, and for being outstanding examples of the nation’s most-trusted profession.
This year, Northside’s own Tori Tester was one of those honored with a “Nursing Excellence Award.” Tori works in the high-risk perinatal unit and she sees many patients under difficult circumstances.
“It’s just a good feeling to take care of people and see them get better,” she says.
Tori’s story was illustrated by a case in which she spotted a problem with a patient who had just given birth to twins by C-section.
“I could just tell something wasn’t right,” Tori said.
Turns out she caught a serious issue early enough to ensure a positive outcome for the mother and her two babies.
Tori is an shining example of the kind of nurses we have in the Northside family – Caring and diligent, dedicated to their profession and their patients. We couldn’t be more proud of her.
We’re also proud of all the Northside nurses who were nominated for the honor. They were: Rebekah House, Megan Wood, Amanda Lummus, Taylor Huffman, Quwntin Glass, Leah Magdaraog, Abril Green, April Jenkins, Sylvia Stringer, Kelsey Norman, Nancy Bagwell, Esther Hulsegge, Brooke Bryan, Brandon Majerus, Linda Roquemore, Glenda Mercure, Julie Krolak, Darlene Nabors, Kristi Keable, Karan Mason, Shayla Henke, Jenifer Landon, Tonya Bennett, Latonia Melissa Collier, Maya Mendez, Candice Griffith, Barbara Meyer, Eve Leverette, Kelly Leroy, Hanan Waite, Juliana Monteiro and Cristiane Fukuda.
