Northside Hospital is one of the largest and most respected providers of comprehensive cancer services in the Southeast, combining the latest in technology and research with compassionate patient-centered care. The Northside Hospital Cancer Institute offers the best of both worlds: clinical excellence on par with academic-based programs, along with the personalized and attentive care typically associated with a community hospital. Our Program has received an Outstanding Achievement Award as a fully accredited Comprehensive Community Hospital Cancer Program by the American College of Surgeon’s Commission on Cancer. Specialty areas include BMT, Women’s, Prostate, and Research.
The Research Nursing Manager is responsible for overseeing nursing operations, including the oncology research network. This role will be responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of the quality and validity of clinical research data and research patient care and will oversee the work of the Lead Research Coordinators, Clinical Research Nurses (CRN), the Clinical Research Coordinators (CRC), Data Management and regulatory staff.
Required: Bachelor’s degree in nursing. Minimum of 5 years experience in a clinical research setting. Minimum of 2 year experience in oncology nursing. Minimum of 1 year experience managing employees. Ability to correctly interpret laws, regulations and policies related to research compliance. Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Knowledge of clinical trial policies and regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP). Established interpersonal skills combined with the ability to be highly motivated and work independently. Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to manage teams of varying sizes. Preferred: Masters level education preferred. Certification relative to the position Knowledge of information technology systems supporting regulatory affairs, IRB and compliance research administration
